Cleansing: Body & Soul

To be clean is to have control.

Control over what?

Yourself.

Life will go on and it is not linear. There are seasons that will be filled with events, activities and interactions. Just as there will be times stiff with silence and focused on self reflection. If we let ourselves, we can get swept up in these ebbs and flows and lose our grounding, ultimately losing ourselves. This is when cleansing becomes your rope. It can save you and keep you afloat. This is your foundation.

No matter how “spiritual” a person is. Ritualistic cleaning can be purifying for anyone. Just Clean.

Open the window

Wipe off counters

Take out the trash

Change the sheets

Take a Shower

Depending on what phase you are in your life, even doing just one of the above mentioned can seem like a sore task. The more clutter you can remove from your physical space and being, the easier it will be to clear and focus your mind.

If you are exploring deeper aspects of yourself you can also begin to clear your soul/spirit. This process can be as simple or complex as you desire. The intention of this ritual is simply to rejuvenate.

Meditating (silencing the mind)

Gentle Yin Style Yoga

Distraction Free Walk

Skin to Earth (ex; walking barefoot in grass)

No one is expected to do all of these tasks. These are simply suggestions to get you aligned with the proper energies to become more receptive.

For most people, in the beginning it may feel strange. Adding a new practice into your routine.

Some will feel awkward, others even may feel a little silly. No matter how you start, in the end, most mainly just feel capable.

The smoke is cleared, the veil lifted and all that is possible is revealed. You are lighter, bolder, freer. This is because you no longer have the weight of yesterday’s past blinding and drowning you.

Victory comes in various forms, when you do something you never thought you could or would do, you have eliminated the element of fear and been given a beautiful opportunity.

If you can’t do it for you, do it for those who you love and care about.

Negativity is like a virus. It survives off of a host, with no supply it dies off. When we neglect to cleanse ourselves spiritually and physically we allow ourselves to not only host a virus but to spread it as well. Look to the people you care for the  most to hold you accountable and protect you and your community.

When you walk into a doctor’s office the environment is sterile. Every tool and material is intricately placed in very intentional spots. The disposables, gauze, cotton tips, tongue depressors are all covered and separated in jars. This is an environment that leaves no room for error. Once the nurses and doctors step in they are able to address you and your concerns immediately. They are prepared.

Are you?
